Dr Romanelli X UNITE – Hickory Backpacks
Fans of Dr. Romanelli might have gotten a hint of his work for Massachusetts-based boutique UNITE with the Underground Railroad Varsity Jacket for the in-house Heritage label, but the partnership is in full swing with this collection of backpacks. The good doctor created a collection of one-off backpacks, which incorporate a full range of materials seen in past Romanelli projects. The materials worked in represent an entire century’s worth of textiles: 1910’s Japanese Boro denim, 1940’s Hickory ticking, jean jackets from the 1960’s, Military tent canvas from the 1970’s, flannels from the 1980’s, and of course plenty of the signature Romanelli butter-soft leather. The bags are finished with Riri zippers, another Romanelli signature. Each is absolutely unique, and the collection will be available exclusively at UNITE over the next few days. Check out the full collection after the jump. via: DrX.

William Yan X Ronnie Fieg – Sebago Nexus Project | Available Now
Ronnie Fieg undertook a pretty risky endeavor in recruiting a team of five bloggers to serve as inspiration and designers for a line of collaboration shoes. Fieg got together with Marcus Troy, Jake Davis, and the teams behind Street Etiquette and Culture Shoq, producing a limited release Sebago shoe with each of them. Now the last shoe in the series, inspired by William Yan, is being released today. Yan is a much admired street style photographer and tastemaker, and readers of his blog will recognize his aesthetic input into the shoe: it’s a classically inspired Sebago, updated with leathers that are impossible to ignore. It perfectly embodies Yan’s eye for catching classic styles worn in creative ways. The William Yan-inspired boots are available in a beautiful gray suede, or in a Blue Coral and Cadmium Green leather, both stunning in their own way. As with all of shoes in the Nexus project, these are limited to 48 pairs, and are available exclusively at the David Z flagship store and at Davidz.com. Ronnie Fieg, well-respected for his own designs, clearly knows how to pull together amazing creative teams, and work with the inspiration of others. Overall, one of the most successful creative collaborations we’ve ever seen. Check out both versions of the William Yan boot after the jump.

SWAGGER – MA-1 Nylon Twill Flight Jacket
Easily mistaken at first glance, the difference becomes quite apparent between the standard issue MA-1 aviator jacket and this reinterpretation by Japanese label SWAGGER. A notch above the original, SWAGGER’s MA-1 Jacket is made from a denser, more high-grade nylon fabric, thus making the almost weatherproof in all different elements. But the most obvious difference is offset zipped enclosure on front. With a collar and integrated lapel, there is a clear influence of the traditional motorcycle jacket in this design. A part of the transitional collection between spring and winter, the SWAGGER MA-1 Nylon Twill Flight Jacket is available now at all SWAGGER retail locations across Japan.
